Prenatal Yoga & Movement Classes

GROUP CLASSES:  Come join other pregnant people as you journey into paretnhood.   Prenatal yoga will prepare you for physical and emotional changes in pregnancy, birth and new parenthood.  You will move through asana in order to strengthen your body, increase endurance and flexibility and promote optimal baby position for birth.  You will practice breath awareness to quiet the mind and listen to your own inner wisdom.   This class will help you trust the normal birth process.  Give yourself this time to be with your tiny baby within. If you are looking for strength, community and self-care, we are here for you.

PRIVATE CLASSES:  Schedule either a one time or series of private yoga classes in the Portland area.  Working 1 to 1 we can design classes just for you. These can be done in person or online. Contact me

Postpartum Yoga and Movement Classes

5 WEEK SERIES in person

5 WEEK SERIES in person

A 5-Part series composed of yoga and stabilizing movement for those that have birthed a child within the last year. Classes will have time for connecting with others having similar experiences, learning practices to help stay present, to reconnect with your core and pelvic floor and become aware of real life movement patterns that will help you feel strong and able. Each week will build on the last class, so that we create a full container to hold this experience of parenting in the body and in the heart. We will meet in community, in person, in a studio in downtown Milwaukie. Babies are always welcome.

Dates and Times- Tuesdays from 10:30 - 11:45 am September 13 - October 11

The next series will start 10/25 for 5 weeks.

Shana is intelligent and caring and funny and welcoming. She will hold your baby and not flinch when it vomits on her bare feet, give you advice if you want it, or will just listen. She gives you a space to meet other women and share the good and not-so-good about pregnancy, birth and this whole motherhood adventure. Cannot recommend classes with her enough!

Yoga for Fertility

Yoga can offer a great deal of physical and emotional support along the journey to motherhood. In this workshop we will explore a yoga practices to naturally enhance and support fertility, experience a complete practice intended to soften the abdomen, increase blood flow to the pelvis and open lines of energy throughout the body to create harmony and ease. Meditation, breath practices and guided imagery will also be used to help relax the mind and open the heart in preparation for baby. Guidance will be given on which poses and techniques are most beneficial and which ones should be avoided at different stages of your monthly cycle or while undergoing IVF.
